New theme music and an October 11 return date for the second half of Mission: Yozakura Family’s second season arrived Friday via a fresh trailer, with rock band Humbreaders providing the opening track “Forever Song” and group KID PHENOMENON performing the ending song “I’m still breathing.”
The continuation resumes on MBS, TBS and two dozen affiliated stations at 5:00 p.m. JST on October 11, picking up after the first half wrapped on the franchise’s 39th episode in June. Hulu carries the season for U.S. audiences, while Prime Video and Netflix stream it domestically in Japan.
Mirai Minato serves as chief director this season while Takahiro Nakatsugawa directs at SILVER LINK, with designer Mizuki Takahashi and composer Koji Fujimoto also returning. Based on Hitsuji Gondaira’s completed Weekly Shonen Jump manga—published in English by Viz Media—the story follows social outcast Taiyo Asano, who must marry his childhood friend Mutsumi to survive her overprotective, dangerously devoted older brother and joins her family of elite spies in the process.
