Ethics Policy
This is a short code of conduct for everyone who reports, edits or otherwise contributes to Manga For Today.
1. Independence
Coverage is not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, publishers or any party who is the subject of a story. Review copies, invitations or other courtesies do not obligate favorable coverage and do not prevent legitimate criticism.
2. Conflicts of interest
Contributors disclose any personal, financial or professional relationship with a subject they are assigned to cover, and do not report on subjects where such a relationship could reasonably be seen to affect their judgment.
3. Originality and plagiarism
Work published under our name is either original or properly attributed. Copying another outlet’s reporting, analysis or phrasing without credit is not permitted.
4. Respect for people
Coverage of creators, executives and other individuals in the industry avoids unnecessary harm, harassment or the presentation of unverified personal claims as fact.
5. Confidentiality
Sources who reasonably request anonymity, and whose safety, employment or livelihood could be affected by disclosure, are protected accordingly.
6. Accountability
Breaches of this policy are corrected, and, where appropriate, addressed directly with the person responsible.
