The anime adaptation of Puuzaki Puuna’s adult doujin manga The Shy Snow Woman and the Cursed Ring (Hitozukiai ga Nigate na Miboujin no Yuki Onna-san to Noroi no Yubiwa) will get an early streaming window on AnimeFesta on September 11 at 5:00 p.m. JST, the show’s official website confirmed Friday, with WWWave Corporation’s OceanVeil platform carrying it the same day.
A new promotional video accompanying the announcement previews the opening theme “Choux Cream,” performed by Hitomi Suzune, while a separate NSFW visual was prepared exclusively for the premium streaming release.
Regular television broadcast follows on October 4 via BS11 and October 6 on Tokyo MX. The cast is led by Harumichi Shido as Satoru Takahashi, Rikka Kitami as Mifuyu Yukino and Sara Ayumi as Kaede Kiryuin, under director Kazuomi Koga at Studio Hokiboshi.
Puuzaki Puuna has described the project as a rare case of an adult doujin work being adapted directly into broadcast television rather than the OVA format typical of the genre, adding that the anime’s plot will diverge from the source manga. The two-volume, full-color manga is available in English from Irodori Comics and follows a landlord who uses a mystical ring to control a snow woman living among his tenants.
