Kadokawa used a Saturday announcement to lock in an October 4 debut for the TV anime adaptation of Hiro Oda’s light novel series Yowaki MAX Reijo nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta, alongside a new promotional video, key visual and additional cast.
The opening theme, “Goki MAX Sengen,” will be performed by Konomi Suzuki, while Miku Ito takes on the ending song “Yoake Made ni”; both tracks appear in the newly released trailer.
Newly confirmed cast members include Haruka Shiraishi as Amelia Keys, Shogo Sakata as Phillip and Shoya Ishige as Mike, joining previously announced leads such as Ito herself in the role of protagonist Pia Rockwell.
Broadcast will begin on AT-X at 11:30 p.m. on October 4, followed by same-day airings on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto and BS Asahi, with simultaneous streaming on d Anime Store, Hulu, U-NEXT and Anime Hodai just after midnight on October 5.
Nobuaki Nakanishi is directing the project at studio Jumondo, with Hiroko Fukuda supervising the scripts and Moe Hyuga and Natsuki Hamada handling the score.
The story follows Pia, a graduate student reincarnated as a young otome-game villainess who tries to pre-empt her doomed engagement to Rufus Stan—only for her attempt to back out to make him more interested in her instead.
Oda’s original web novel began serialization on Shosetsuka ni Naro in January 2020 before Kadokawa picked it up for print later that year; a manga adaptation illustrated by Aji Murata has been running on Comic Walker’s Flos Comic imprint since 2021, and the combined franchise has surpassed 1.2 million copies in circulation.
