Saki Hiwatari's cult sci-fi drama manga Please Save My Earth will be adapted into a live-action series airing worldwide on Amazon Prime Video in fall 2027. The drama is directed by Takahiro Miki, known for adaptations like Solanin, Blue Spring Ride, and Kids on the Slope, with a script by Nana Yamamoto (Takane & Hana) and supervision from original creator Saki Hiwatari. Actress Alice Hirose will play the lead role of Mokuren. Hiwatari expressed surprise that a manga she drew long ago is being adapted today, saying she is still involved in the screenwriting process and looks forward to seeing the finished work alongside fans. Originally serialized between 1986 and 1994 in Hana to Yume magazine, the series first came to France in 1999 under the title Reincarnations from Tonkam, long out of print; a new French edition has been underway since January.
