Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine revealed Friday that manga duo Adachitoka will debut a new series, Yadoya no Oinu-sama (The Inn’s Dog), in the magazine’s November issue on sale October 6, sharing a preview image on social media to mark the announcement.
The story follows Kasumi Kuromine, a middle school girl from the countryside, whose life changes after a school trip accident sends her tumbling down a mountainside.
Adachitoka is best known for Noragami: Stray God, which ran in the same magazine from 2010 until its conclusion in January 2024 across 27 collected volumes. That series spawned a 12-episode anime in 2014 and a second season, Noragami Aragoto, in 2015—both streamed by the former Funimation with home video releases—plus two stage plays and a spinoff OAD bundled with the manga’s 15th volume.
