The anime adaptation of Jura’s manga My Girlfriend’s Friend confirmed additional cast, its main trailer and an October 4 premiere date in a Friday update from the official website.
Riho Sugiyama joins as Miyuki and Ryoka Yuzuki as Kaori’s mother, rounding out a main cast led by Ryuga Nagaike as Takeru, Hanemurasaki as Kaori and Miki Hase as Tomoko. Airots performs the opening theme “Gingira” and Ceui sings the ending track “False Love,” both previewed in the newly released video.
Broadcast begins on Tokyo MX in the early hours of October 5 (nominally October 4 at 25:05), followed by BS11 on October 7; an uncut “Complete Deregula” version streams on AnimeFesta from the same late-night slot, alongside standard streaming elsewhere.
Takashi Ando directs at studio Quad for producer WWWave Corporation’s Deregula label, with Goko Shiraki supervising scripts and Ryuji Iwata leading character design. The story follows high schooler Takeru and his girlfriend Kaori, whose relationship is complicated when Kaori’s friend Tomoko begins pursuing him. Kodansha has published seven collected volumes of the source manga since it began on YanMaga Web in 2021.
