Anofficial website opened on Friday for the television anime of Nikumura Q's Giant Ojō-sama(Giant Young Lady) manga, and it revealed the main staff, visual, and January 2027 premiere.
Hiroshi Ikehata (WITCH WATCH) is directing the anime at Tatsunoko Production. Katsuya Oshima is serving as assistant director. Hajime Mitsuda (Food for the Soul) is the character designer and chief animation director. Yū Satō (Azur Lane: Slow Ahead!) ishandling the series composition and script.
Nikumura Q has been serializingthe manga since July 2020 on Shogakukan's Sunday Webry service. Shogakukan will publish the manga's 12th compiled book volume on August 10. The manga was nominated by for best webmanga in the eighth "Next Manga Awards" (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō)in 2022, and it ranked #5 in AnimeJapan's 6th "Most Wanted Anime Adaptation" poll the following year.
