Bandai Namco Filmworks confirmed Thursday that the second half of magical-girl anime Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly, co-produced with Studio Pierrot, will resume October 4 on Tokyo MX and affiliated stations, alongside new cast additions and returning theme songs from K-pop group ILLIT and in-universe idol unit Lulutto Lilly.
The story follows sisters Fu and Rui, who grow distant before both separately gaining magical powers and transforming into idol personas—unaware that the other has the same secret—under a strict one-year time limit on their abilities.
Director Shintaro Doge returns at Studio Pierrot for the second cours, which continues a run that began April 5 and has expanded internationally with subtitles now covering 26 languages across platforms including Tubi in North America and various streamers in Asia and Europe.
