Publisher Vega announced a new romance manga joining its catalog on September 18 at 8.35 euros per volume: The Year I Fell in Love with Him (originally Imasara desuga, Osananajimi o Suki ni Natteshimaimashita). Written by Fumiaki Maruto (Saekano, Classroom Crisis, Engage Kiss) and illustrated by Yom (Ganbare Doukichan), the series currently has three volumes in Japan, having launched on Twitter/X in 2023 before moving to professional serialization on Kadokawa's Web Comic Apanta. The story follows a girl who falls in love with her childhood friend after ten years of friendship. In the story, Hikari realizes she has fallen for her longtime friend Ta-kun and tries to provoke a reaction from him, but he remains seemingly indifferent, leaving her torn between hope and despair as she wonders whether she can escape the 'friend zone.'
