After a close final decided by 51.22% of votes against In the Shadow of the Queen – The Story of William Cecil, The Mysteries of Kaika Residence has won the site's 2nd Seinen Tournament 2025. Set around 1912-1926 near the end of the Taisho era, Ameishi's mysterious work follows translator Fuji, who moves into the luxurious Hana Apartment complex where fellow resident and detective Tojo reveals everyone hides a secret, from a phone operator possibly linked to a murder to Fuji's own past as a disciple of a celebrated but unfinished author.
