Following reissues of Children of the Sea, Little Forest, and Witches, Delcourt/Tonkam continues exploring Daisuke Igarashi's career with his only josei work to date, the previously unpublished-in-France Kamakura Bakeneko Club. Volume 1 arrives July 2 at 8.50 euros, timed to the author's visit to France, with the French cover also revealed. Launched in Japan on June 1, 2022 in Kodansha's Be Love (three volumes so far), Igarashi expands on a short story he drew in late 2021, exploring the Japanese folklore legend of bakeneko — mischievous, supernaturally powerful cats. In Kamakura, rumor has it that visiting the 'Bakeneko Club' can reunite you with a lost cat, leading people in search of it to strange shop employees Maya and Gakuto, who share their own eerie tales.
