Angry Birds Movie 3 will release in Indian theaters in January 2027 with English and Hindi dubs. Sega's Sonic Racing CrossWorlds racing game will add the character Red from Angry Birds with the Super Roaster vehicle in April.
Sega acquired the Finland-based Rovio Entertainment Oyj mobile game company through its wholly-owned subsidiary Sega Europe Limited and Sega Sammy Holdings in 2024. Rovio developed the Angry Birds mobile game, and licenses thebrand as consumer products, films and animations, which includes the 2016 The Angry BirdsMovie, and its 2019 sequel.
The franchise inspired the Stella ~Nana to Mahō no Eitango~ (Stella: Nana and the Magic English Words) manga. Hiyoko Hatano launched launched the series in the October issue of Kodansha's shōjo magazine Nakayoshi. The Angry BirdsStella game debuted worldwide in the same month.
Crunchyroll entered a partnership with Black White Orange to oversee and manage licensing merchandise programs in India in October 2023. The company is also running a nationwide fan engagement campaign preceding the release of the 2026 Doraemon film, Eiga Doraemon: Shin Nobita no Kaitei Kiganjō (Doraemon the Movie: New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil), in India.
