Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- is one of the defining isekai series of the last decade, and with four seasons plus OVAs and films now released, new viewers often ask where to start. Here is the complete Re:ZERO watch order for 2026.

1. Re:ZERO Season 1 (2016) — Episodes 1–25. Covers the story’s first three arcs. See the note on the Director’s Cut below.
2. Re:ZERO – Memory Snow (2018) — a standalone OVA set after Season 1. Light and mostly comedic, but a pleasant side story.
3. Re:ZERO – The Frozen Bond (Hyoketsu no Kizuna, 2019) — an OVA focused on Emilia and Puck’s backstory. Recommended before Season 2, as it adds context.
4. Re:ZERO Season 2 (2020–2021) — 25 episodes covering the Sanctuary arc, the series’ emotional core.
5. Re:ZERO Season 3 (2024–2025) — the anime adaptation of Arc 5, the assault on the Watchtower.
6. Re:ZERO Season 4 (2026) — Part 1 (the Loss arc) and Part 2 (the Recapture arc) adapt Arc 6.

Should you watch the Director’s Cut of Season 1?

In 2020, Season 1 was re-released as a Director’s Cut — the same story recompiled into hour-long episodes with new and extended scenes. For a first watch it is the better version if it is available in your region, as it tightens the pacing of the opening arc. If you can only find the original 25-episode broadcast version, that is completely fine too.
