RetroCrush announced on August 1 it will add the live-action Dororo film with Japanese audio and the English dubbed version of The Guyver: Bio-Booster Armor, the OVA adaptation of Yoshiki Takaya'sBio-Booster Armor Guyver manga, on August 21. Both titles are available to stream now.
The streamer is also adding the following titles through the month of August:
Takaya's Bio-Booster Armor Guyver manga inspired an OVA series from 1989-1992, a television anime from 2005-2006, and two live-action films. Viz Media released part of the manga in English from 1995-1998, Manga Entertainment released the OVAs in North America, and ADV Films and later FUNimation Entertainment released the television anime.
Vertical previously released Osamu Tezuka's original 1967 Dororo manga in three volumes, and in a collected omnbius volume in 2012.
The supernatural historical manga previously inspired a 26-episode black-and-white anime series in 1969 by Tezuka Productions. A new television anime premiered in January 2019. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime.
Satoshi Shiki launched a Dororo remake manga titled The Legend of Dororoand Hyakkimaru (Dororo to Hyakkimaru-den) in Akita Shoten's Monthly Champion RED magazinein October 2018. The series ended in the 13th volume on December 19. Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing the manga.
Japanese distributor Media Do, Tezuka Production, and South Korean comic company Copin Communications launched a Japanese-South Korean vertical-scrolling webcomic remake of Osamu Tezuka's classic Dororo manga titled Dororo Re: Verse in 2022.
