Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow Reveals Gameplay Trailer, September 24 Launch

Arc System Works streamed a gameplay trailer for its upcoming Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow on Friday, previewing a combat system in which players stack and overlap skills within a limited window to deal damage and counterattack.

The Nintendo eShop opened pre-orders the same day. Pre-orders and early purchases bundle three extra skins for protagonists Rena Hizuki and Soma Hoshigami, plus a “Voidfall” mode featuring 16 high-difficulty battles with unique rewards.

The game is set in a post-“World Collapse” Tokyo overrun by grotesque entities called Anomalies. Courier Soma Hoshigami is attacked and left “Half-turned” between human and Anomaly, then taken into custody by police investigator Rena Hizuki. The two pursue a demonic drug called “Tiny True,” spreading body markings known as “Stigmas,” and a shadowy cult. Arc System Works describes it as a fully voiced “tactical counter-timeline RPG” with two playable protagonists.

Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow launches for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 24.
