Manga Mavericks Books announced during its Anime NYC panel on Friday that it has licensed the following manga:
Title: Midnight Robot (Yoru no Robot)Creator: Yōhei SajitaRelease: May 2027Summary: Boys and girls, it's time to get in the robot!
Fumiko Daidouji hasbecome used to her dad not being in her life, until he suddenly returns home with a gift: a screw lodged into her cranium! He claims it's to protect her from a secret, nameless organization, and not surprisingly, she figures her Dad has a screw loose himself.
However, the organization is very real – and they want Fumiko's screw to summon a giant robot! Dragged against her will into a battle to save the world, Fumiko quickly realizesthat her once ordinary life is gone. Sajita previously began self-publishing Midnight Robot in 2015. Hayakawa Publishing began publishing the manga on its Hayacomi website in 2024, where it is ongoing. Hayakawa Publishing released the manga's second compiled book volume in September 2025

Manga Mavericks Books also announced that, with permission from Fairbell Inc. and Yumiko Igarashi, it has been recovering and restoring colorillustrations from the original serialization of the The Sword of Paros manga, and will include those illustrations in the English release. The company has put out an open call foranyone who has leads on finding several issues of the Monthly Asuka magazine from 1986 and 1987.
