Konami unveiled a new title, Rhapsody in Scarlet, during Thursday’s State of Play, confirming a future release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a follow-up trailer laying out the story.
Set in a jazz-inflected version of New York, the tale follows aspiring singer and young magus Ellie Myers, who gets swept into an incident involving Ilya Jones, leader of an elite magical order called the Seekers; despite clashing personalities, the two form a bond while investigating a shadowy mafia conspiracy that threatens the city and beyond.
Akari Kito and Cherami Leigh voice Ellie in Japanese and English respectively, with Saori Onishi and Hannah Grace as Ilya, while band SOIL&”PIMP”SESSIONS provides the theme song featuring vocalist Emi Meyer.
