Just after the 2026 edition wrapped, Japan Expo announced its manga guest of honor for 2027: Yoichi Takahashi, longtime creator of Captain Tsubasa (Olive & Tom), returning to France a little over two years after his last visit (Japan Expo Sud, February 2025). Signings, panels, and possible meet-and-greets are expected, marking a chance to celebrate the series' 46th anniversary; Takahashi, now semi-retired, continues the series via storyboards. Japan Expo 2027 will run July 8-11, 2027.
