Japan Expo's annual Daruma Awards, a reader-and-viewer popularity contest for current manga and anime, opened voting this week via the Mangacollec site, running through July 1, with winners announced at a ceremony July 10 at 4:45pm on the Kuri stage. The action manga category nominees include Kagurabachi, DogsRed, Crows, NINE PEAKS, Tower Dungeon, Ichi the Witch, Kaijin Fugeki – Kindled Spirits, and En Salle, Sakamichi!; the romance manga category includes Bloom, Hope You're Happy, Lemon!, Couteau et Piment Vert, TenPuru, Tani & Suzuki: You and I Are Polar Opposites, Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, Serenade pour une Pluie de Larmes, and The Dangers in My Heart; a suspense manga category includes SANDA and The Nations of the Bloody Sun among others.
