The Japanese streaming schedule for BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War is changing from Episode 47, which now arrives on September 8. New episodes on the affected services had previously gone up every Sunday at 12:00 a.m. JST; from Episode 47 they will instead release every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. JST.
The change covers Japanese subscription platforms including Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, U-NEXT, d Anime Store, ABEMA, DMM TV, FOD and Lemino, as well as transactional (paid-per-episode) services. Ad-supported services keep their existing schedule, and the announcement does not mention any change to the Japanese TV broadcast.
The shift applies only in Japan. Viz Media announced that Episode 47 is streaming on Hulu and Disney+ internationally, and overseas release times are expected to stay as they are; some viewers who reported the episode missing on Disney+ found it appeared shortly afterward. Full details are on the anime’s official website.
Tite Kubo’s BLEACH manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016 across 74 volumes and has over 130 million copies in circulation worldwide. The original anime aired from 2004 to 2012; the franchise returned in 2022 with Thousand-Year Blood War, adapting the manga’s final arc, with its fourth and final part expanding the source material further.
