Next week, Paquet will publish the 224-page Vietnamese one-shot An Endless Summer in France, written and drawn in 2021 by Lam Hoang Truc, a social drama the publisher describes as powerful and rooted in the everyday lives of Vietnamese youth, drawing on the author's own experiences. It arrives June 17 at 12 euros. The story follows two students, both named Phuong, preparing for exams to enter a school for gifted students; one splits his time between studying and working to help support his father, while the other lives under her family's heavy expectations, and both struggle to know what they truly want for their future under mounting pressure.
