More than three years after first announcing plans to release the Japanese bestselling novel Kyoshitsu ga, Hitori ni Naru Made in France (back in June 2023), publisher Akata has confirmed it will finally appear in its Young Novel collection on September 16, under the French title Que la mort nous rassemble (Let Death Reunite Us), priced at 16.95 euros, translated, adapted, and lettered by Jean Tarse. The young-adult novel blends murder, esoteric powers, and investigation against a backdrop of social and school-life themes, and was a finalist for two prestigious Japanese literary prizes, the Authentic Mystery Award and the Japan Mystery Writers Association Award, which brought author Akinari Asakura to prominence. After university, Asakura worked at a printing company before winning Kodansha's Newcomer Award Powers in December 2012 for his novel Noir Revenant, followed by another submitted novel, Flagger no Houteshiki, in 2013.
