STEEL BALL RUN – JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure 2nd STAGE has revealed a set of new preview images ahead of its September 25 premiere on Netflix, unveiled during a livestream recapping the 1st STAGE. The 2nd and 3rd stages will run 11 episodes with weekly streaming.
The images spotlight Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli as the transcontinental Steel Ball Run race pushes into a roughly 750-mile desert crossing, including a stretch feared as the “Devil’s Palm,” where a string of unsettling incidents begins to suggest the race is more than a simple competition. Three new characters and their voice cast were announced earlier for the installment.
Steel Ball Run is the seventh part of Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, which the author began serializing in 1987; the Steel Ball Run arc itself ran from 2004 to 2011. Set in late-19th-century America, it follows former jockey Johnny Joestar and outlaw Gyro Zeppeli in a cross-country horse race for a large cash prize, with conspiracies threatening the competition beneath the surface. The anime opened with a 47-minute Stage 1 special on March 19, 2026. More materials are on the official X account and YouTube channel.
