The 80th volume of Yasuhisa Hara’s long-running Kingdom manga topped Oricon’s monthly comic ranking for August 2026, selling 365,379 copies after shipping in Japan on August 19. Viz Media began releasing the series in English last November.
Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura’s Blue Lock ranked second with its 40th volume, which shipped on August 17; Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English and its anime’s third season is titled BLUE LOCK: Neo Egoist League. Nekokurage’s manga adaptation of Hyuganatsu’s The Apothecary Diaries held third place for a second month with its 17th volume. Square Enix Manga & Books publishes that series in English.
Oricon has compiled Japanese sales data since 1967 and has published its book ranking, based on sales figures, since 2008.
