Kodansha USA Publishing announced on Thursday that manga creator Saka Mikami (The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity) will appear at its Kodansha House pop-up in New York City on October 10 and 11. The pop-up runs October 9-18 at 508 West 37th Street, two blocks from the Javits Center, where New York Comic Con takes place October 8-11.
The event schedule includes a Q&A and signing with Mikami on October 10 and a further signing on October 11, with tickets allocated by random drawing on kodanshahouse.com; applications ran from September 3 to September 10.
Mikami launched The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket in October 2021, and the 23rd volume shipped in Japan on June 9. Kodansha USA released the 14th English volume on August 11 and will publish the 15th on October 13. A TV anime adaptation premiered in July 2025 and streams on Netflix.
Earlier Kodansha House editions hosted Blue Lock’s Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura and Witch Hat Atelier’s Kamome Shirahama in Los Angeles in July, and Atsushi Ohkubo, Fujita and Suu Morishita in New York last October.
