Cygames used Thursday’s State of Play to introduce CygamesEdge, a newly formed label supporting small and mid-sized development teams, alongside its first release: the ZEREO-developed action-adventure Where the Seeds Fall, due out November 5 on PS5, Switch 2 and PC via Steam.
The game follows a soldier who defies orders to escort a so-called “Fell Child”—a figure humanity fears as a bad omen—safely down through a perilous, ruin-filled World Tree using climbing, wind-reading and leap-of-faith traversal.
CyberAgent-founded Cygames, known for Uma Musume Pretty Derby and Granblue Fantasy, has run its own anime division and production subsidiary Cygames Pictures since the mid-2010s, having previously adapted several of its game franchises into television series.
