Konami’s Thursday Press Start livestream introduced Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, the franchise’s first entirely new entry since 2014’s Lords of Shadow 2, via a trailer named for the series’ famous “Bloody Tears” theme.
The English voice cast includes Abby Trott as new protagonist Rose Belmont and J.B. Blanc as Trevor Belmont, alongside returning Castlevania-animated-series performers Alejandra Reynoso (Sypha Belnades) and Graham McTavish (Dracula), plus Liam O’Brien reprising Isaac from Castlevania: Curse of Darkness.
Dead Cells developers Evil Empire and Motion Twin are building the game, promising a mix of varied weapons, spells and open-ended castle exploration for veterans and newcomers alike.
The announcement follows last year’s Castlevania Dominus Collection, which bundled three Nintendo DS-era titles plus the original Haunted Castle arcade game and a modern reimagining, and comes as the animated Castlevania: Nocturne spinoff—following Sypha and Trevor’s descendant Richter Belmont during the French Revolution—continues with a second season that premiered in January 2025.
