Next month, Vega introduces the manga Dessins Claques, with volume 1 due July 3 at 8.35 euros. Created by Indonesian studio Goxtoon specifically for a Western audience, the publisher promises an absurdist, offbeat take on shonen tropes woven with contemporary social commentary. Writer Mas Okis first broke through in Indonesian webtoons before joining Goxtoon in 2023 for his first manga; self-taught artist Kshatriya began drawing comics in high school before joining Goxtoon remotely in 2022. Set in a world where nearly everyone is born with a superpower except unlucky Dani, the story follows his struggle with failed job interviews as a powerless outcast.
