A new dark fantasy shojo manga, Red List, joins Komikku's catalog starting July 9 at 7.99 euros per volume. Running in Japan since 2024 in Akita Shoten's Mystery Bonita (also home to Children of the Whales and Ocean Rush) with four volumes so far, it's the first long-form professional series by Hoku Tomose, previously known in amateur circles for a distinctive visual style. The publisher promises a unique blend of romance, social critique, and reflection on the human-animal relationship, set in a world reshaped by chimera beings whose apparent kindness toward the last remaining humans may hide darker intentions. It follows a chimera caretaker raising a human girl in a society where humans have become rare and precious.
