Vega announced it will publish Who Killed the Hero? in France, with volume 1 due September 11 at 8.35 euros. Launched in Japan in 2024 in Shogakukan's Comic Walker (one volume so far), mangaka Akira Ishida (Fate/Apocrypha) adapts a light novel written since 2023 by DAKEN and illustrated by toi8. The story is set four years after the demon king's defeat, as the kingdom compiles the fallen hero's legendary exploits through the accounts of his former companions — knight Leon, priestess Maria, and sage Solon — all of whom remain evasive about how, and by whom, he truly died.
