Akane-banashi will be a featured series at Japan Expo, with mangaka Yuki Suenaga and Takamasa Moue attending alongside TV Asahi anime producer Kazuki Endo and Shonen Jump editor Takaaki Kuwahara. Publisher Ki-oon is putting the spotlight on rakugo itself (traditional Japanese comic storytelling) with a live performance by French storytellers Cyril Coppini and Stephane Ferrandez on Saturday July 11 (1:45-2:15pm, Sakura stage), drawing on tales from the manga ('The Tanuki' and 'The Shinigami') to introduce the art form. The manga's first 14 volumes are available from Ki-oon, with the anime's first season on ADN and Netflix.
