Following the poignant three-volume series The Inn of Lost Seasons in 2025, publisher naBan will release another work by acclaimed creator Hozumi this fall (exact date not yet announced): a short-story collection titled Shiki no Zenjitsu, translated as The Eve of the Ceremony. Originally published in Japan by Shogakukan in September 2012, this was one of Hozumi's earliest professional works, predating her acclaimed The Two Van Goghs (Glenat). The collection gathers six short stories originally serialized in the magazines Flowers and Rinka, which the publisher promises depict unique, emotionally resonant moments between two people—including a brother's last time with his sister before her wedding, a father visiting his daughter while her mother is away, a man recalling his rural childhood with his sister, and a cat observing its unusual owner.
