Comikey announced on August 17 itwill release several shōjo manga titles from Hakusensha's catalogue in English digitally. The first announced title is sora's Crashout Schoolgirl and Degen Teacher (Tsuiraku JK toHaijin Kyōshi) and the first seven chapters are available to read now.
The company stated its lineup of Hakusensha titles will include manga that have not had officialEnglish releases before.
Comikey did not specifically state what other mangait will release from Hakusensha. The above image features the following manga (from leftto right): Kōcha Ōji, Gakuen Babysitters, Tsuiraku JK to Haijin Kyōshi, Kare Kano, Moon Child, Ōkami-Heika no Hanayome, and Mikado no Shihō. Of these titles, Kare Kano and Moon Child have had English releases before.
The company previously partnered with Hakusensha to publish some of its titles in 2021.
Other new series that Comikeyadded in August include Kamiharu Haruno's Shut Up, Takamori!; Akinoko's Learning to LoveMy Cat-like Classmate; Asaki Asagiri and selen's The Princess Groom; and Nobuko Takekawa'sYuko, the Ghost in My Room manga.
Comikey partnered with Shogakukan in July2021, and began releasing titles in English digitally from the publisher. Comikey also publishes manga from Shinchosha, Compass, and Coamix.
Comikey users can read thefirst chapter and most recent chapter of each manga for free. For other chapters, users have the option to purchase the digital "Keys" currency to unlock those chapters.
Comikey was founded in 2020, and also hosts other Asian comics such as webtoons and manhua. The company also localizes series into Portuguese. The platform officially launched in June 2021 with content from KuaiKan Manhua.
