Prime Video India has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with CJ ENM to bring more than 100 Korean titles toaudiences in India, including 26 new series scheduled to roll out over the next two years.
The deal expands the companies' existing global partnership and will make all upcoming titles available with English subtitles as well as Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubbing.
The lineup includes many titles based on webtoons and web novels. The lineup will launch with Yumi's Cells Season 3, followed by upcoming series including Filingfor Love; The Legend of Kitchen Soldier; and My Bias, My Boss. Prime Video India will also add library titles such as Dear X, Law and the City, Study Group, My Dearest Nemesis, Search: WWW, and the first two seasons of Yumi's Cells.
CJ ENM Executive Vice President of Platform Division Jangho Seo said the partnership will help bring the studio'sK-dramas to a broader audience in one of the world's fastest-growing entertainment markets. Prime Video India executives cited the continued rise in demand for Korean content as akey factor behind the expanded agreement.
