The official website forghost – end of night (ghost/yoru no hate), Shingo Natsume and Madhouse's new theatrical anime project, unveiled a new teaser trailer for the anime film on Friday. The teaser reveals the film's two lead cast members.
The main cast members include:
Mayu Hotta as Neekei
Issei Takahashi as Masu (Character name romanizationnot official)
The film will open in Japan on February 11, 2027.
Bandai Namco Filmworks describes the film:
I want to know what is ＜real＞.
Set in the near future where labor is no longer necessary, this is the story ofNeekei, a girl who continues seeking the “real” while resisting the order of a content society.
The work marks Shingo Natsume's first time directing an original animefilm.
Shingo Natsume stated regarding the film that he is aiming for "a work that could be called fictional but is in tune with our current time and seeksrealism."
The film has a manga adaptation by artist himiko, whichlaunched in Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine on August 4.
