Odex announced last Thursday that its screening of Detective Conan: Highway no Datenshi (Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway), the franchise's 29th film, in Singapore will open on September 5. The filmwill screen exclusively in Golden Village cinemas.
The film opened in Japanon April 10.
The film sold 2,318,009 tickets and earned 3,502,137,800 yen (about US$21.9 million) in its first three days, making a new opening-weekend record for thefranchise, and debuting at #1 at the Japanese box office.
The film is now thefourth consecutive film in the franchise to earn more than 10 billion yen, beginning with2023's Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine film. The film has earned a cumulative totalof 13,608,566,400 yen (about US$83.06 million) as of July 19.
The new film centers on the character Chihaya Hagiwara, member of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police and the leader of its motorcycle division. Miyuki Sawashiro now voices the character, replacingthe late Atsuko Tanaka. The movie also features Kanagawa inspector Jugo Yokomizo, teenagedetective Masumi Sera, Chihaya's late younger brother Kenji Hagiwara, and Kenji's Police Academy classmate Jinpei Matsuda.
The previous film in the franchise, Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback (Meitantei Conan: Sekigan no Flashback), had teased the character's appearance at the end of the film.
Takahiro Hasui (Detective Conan: TheBlack Iron Submarine) directed the film, and Takahiro Ōkura (Detective Conan: The CrimsonLove Letter) wrote the script. Yūgo Kanno (Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback composed the music for the film.
Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback opened in Japan onApril 18, 2025, and debuted at #1 at the Japanese box office. The film became the #19 highest-grossing film of all time in Japan in June 2025, and is currently the 20th highest-grossing film in Japan of all time, having earned 14.74 billion yen (about US$95.1 million). Katsuya Shigehara (unit director of Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine) directed thefilm. Takeharu Sakurai (various Detective Conan movies) wrote the script.
