The official website for ArtPlay and 505 Games’ Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement game announced on Wednesday that the game’s release has been delayed to 2027. In a video message, ArtPlay co-founder Koji Igarashi announced the game’s delay and also stated that the game has entered the final stages of development.
The game’s staff also revealed new screenshots from the game:
The game was initiallyannounced for release this year for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steamand the Epic Games Store.
ArtPlay and 505 Games describe the game:
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night launched for the PlayStation 4, Windows, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in June 2019. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon launched for the Nintendo3DS, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PlayStation Vita, and Windows in May 2018, and for Xbox One inJune 2018. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 launched for PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in July 2020.
ArtPlay creative director SHUTARO (Shutaro Iida), who was also leading the development of Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, died on February10 due to pancreatic cancer. Igarashi stated then that they will strive to complete the game worthy of SHUTARO’s vision and name.
