After a digital-only release last year, Tomoko Yamashita's (The Awakening of Hibari, Between the Lines) short-story collection Fatales gets a physical French edition from Akata on August 26 at 8.30 euros. Released in Japan in October 2025, the collection reprints Akata's three previously digital-only stories (Will You Eat With Me?, The Reaper, Cling Once, Blink Once) alongside new, previously unpublished stories spanning Yamashita's career, including boy's love pieces and fanzine work — seven stories total exploring death drives and unspoken desires across science fiction, absurdism, and philosophy.
