Vega's release schedule revealed the upcoming French publication of Son of Violence, written by prolific NUMBER 8 (Blue Giant Momentum, Strand) and illustrated by little-known Tonchin Otsuka in his French debut. Originally serialized in Japan in 2024-2025 on Kodansha's Comic Days (three volumes there), the French edition compiles the story into a single 548-page omnibus, releasing June 26 at 19.90 euros. It follows 10-year-old Ken Komatsubara, transferred to a Ginza elementary school under a mysterious foreign-ministry caution notice, whose presence draws attention from police, local gangsters, and even a foreign private military company as his combat abilities as 'a son born of violence' come to light.
