Continuing its summer wave of boxed sets after a batch in May, Meian previews the first half of its August 7 lineup. One complete 10-volume box (39.95 euros, down from 69.50 euros) covers a historical adventure following exiled Kamakura samurai Jinzaburo Kuchii, ordered by the governor's daughter Teruhi to defend Tsushima Island against a Mongol invasion using a ragtag group of condemned men as expendable defenders. A second title, split across two 7-volume boxes at 29.95 euros each, follows the quiet daily life of Alpha, who runs a small out-of-the-way cafe.
