Ahead of creator Keisuke Itagaki's Japan Expo appearance, Meian announced the acquisition of Baki Gaiden: Scarface, a spin-off of the Baki fighting saga drawn by Yukinao Yamauchi, complete in eight volumes and originally serialized irregularly in Akita Shoten's Shonen Champion from 2005-2019, focused on one of the franchise's most powerful and charismatic fighters, Kaoru Hanayama. It will get the same large perfect-edition format as Meian's other Baki releases, plus a numbered 3,000-copy collector's box (69.95 euros, preorder exclusive to Meian+ and Anime-Store) including all eight volumes and various collectibles, releasing August 26 alongside standard individual volumes at 7.95 euros each; note it will not be available through the Baki subscription bundles.
