Publisher IMHO announced the French release of Tonight It's Sukiyaki!, a one-shot that won Japan's prestigious Osamu Tezuka Award for New Talent and was adapted into a Japanese TV series. Originally serialized 2019-2021 on Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch site, it marks the French debut of Natsuko Taniguchi (wife of author Keigo Shinzo of Hirayasumi), known for blending cooking, daily life, and relationship themes with a gentle, contemporary touch; the French edition isn't expected before March 2027 at 14 euros. The bittersweet comedy follows freelance interior decorator Aiko, who dreams only of marriage but can't keep house, and children's book author Tomoko, who excels at cooking and tidying but has no interest in love — leading the two to propose marrying each other in the meantime.
