During Japan Expo, Akata announced four new boy's love titles over four days; the first, A Touch of Tenderness, is a one-shot by Chigaya Ichigaya (a low-profile mangaka professionally active for about a dozen years), originally serialized in Japan in 2022-2023 in Media Factory's Comic Fleur, marking her French debut. The publisher promises a delicate, understated slice-of-life about lasting love across the years. The single volume arrives November 4 at 8.30 euros, translated by Vanessa Gallon. It follows Kiyotsugu, a retired firefighter, and Shuji, a retired chef, celebrating their 30th anniversary together, still deeply in love as they enjoy daily life and cherished memories.
