AI Policy
AI tools play a visible role in how Manga For Today produces coverage, and we think readers deserve a clear, honest description of how that works.
1. How we use AI
AI tools assist with translating foreign-language source material, summarizing announcements, drafting initial versions of articles, sorting content into categories, and selecting or preparing images. AI is used as a production aid; it is not treated as the origin of the underlying facts, which come from the sources described in our Source Transparency policy.
2. Human oversight
AI-assisted drafts are reviewed against their source material before publication. Publishing an article remains an editorial decision and an editorial responsibility, not an unreviewed machine output.
3. What AI is not used for
AI is not used to invent sources, quotations, interviews or facts. Where information cannot be traced to a real source, it is not published.
4. Errors introduced by automation
Mistakes that arise during AI-assisted translation, summarization or categorization are treated the same as any other factual error and corrected under our Corrections Policy; repeated or serious automation errors can lead to a piece being suspended or removed while it is reviewed.
5. Images
Where an illustration is AI-generated rather than official artwork supplied by a publisher, studio or creator, it is not presented as official promotional material.
6. This policy will evolve
Our tools and workflows change over time, and this page is updated to keep reflecting current practice.
