Ki-oon announced the acquisition of WITCHRIV, a promising new Shonen Jump+ title marking the French debut of mangaka Hakuri, whose decade-long career includes several short stories and series; launched in Japan in October 2025 after a successful pilot chapter, it now has three volumes and comes recommended by Kazue Kato (Blue Exorcist). Set in a world where mages are hunted, deported, imprisoned, or executed and must hide their identities to survive government militia, the story follows young witch Nona, who knows never to use her magic except in dire need — until a simple act of kindness upends her fate. The French volume 1 isn't due until April 2027, though free digital chapters begin July 8 on MANGA Plus and Manga Nova.
