Japanese rock band Scandal announced on Monday that the band will end activities on August 21, 2027. The band, making the announcement after their recently-concluded 20th anniversary concert on Friday, stated that all four members feel that they have done all that theycould together, being able to travel throughout Japan and around the world as Scandal. Aspart of their final journey, the band will tour all 47 prefectures of Japan starting in October, and will hold a solo concert at Yokohama Arena on August 21, 2027.
The band has performed theme songs for Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Loups-Garous, Highspeed Étoile, Star Driver, GeGeGe no Kitarō, Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, and XFLAG and Marza Animation Planet's original anime short "XPICE."
The band had toured in several countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and France, among others.
Scandal consists of lead vocals and guitarist Haruna, lead guitarist Mami, bassist Tomomi, and drummer Rina.
